Event Heart

One of the requirements you need to complete before you can get married is to see the candidate's four heart events. These events will become available as you raise your friendship with the marriage candidate. You will see a heart event when the person has a black heart color, and then again when you reach the purple, blue, and yellow heart colors; Emiko is the only candidate that doesn't have a true black heart event.

You can see the events if the person is at the required heart color or higher than the required color for the event; you can see a yellow heart event even if the person has a red heart color. The events must be viewed in sequential order though. The black event must be viewed first, then the purple event, followed by the blue event, and finally the yellow event.

During a heart event, you will learn more about the characters who are involved in the event. After hearing the story you will be given a choice on how to respond. If you choose an answer that is positive, then you will earn friendship points with those involved in the event. If you choose a negative answer, then you will lose friendship points. If you do answer negatively, it doesn't mean that you can no longer marry that person. You simply have to give gifts to increase the person's friendship points again.

Each heart event can only be triggered one time. You can't re-do a heart event unless you reload to the last time you saved your game.

• Amir

A prince from a far away country, Amir lives upstairs at the Hotel. You will unlock Amir around the 4th of Winter in your first year, and he will stay in town until Fall 1 of your second year. Amir has to return to his home country to celebrate his father's birthday in the Fall, but he returns in Winter.

Amir's full name is Amir Ranjit Raj Singh.

Notes: Amir is only in town during Spring, Summer, and Winter. No one else from his family is in Zephyr Town, so you don't have to befriend anyone extra in order to propose marriage to him.

After you marry him, Amir will stay in town all year round. He will not leave the farm house unless it is Wednesday or Thursday. Between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm he'll be in the Hotel area and then return back to the house.

Amir chuckles; he wasn't expecting that response from you. He invites you come into his room and asks about your farm. Farming sounds like it would be a very busy job. Amir thinks you're an optimist for finding fun in such busy work, but it is a good thing. Maybe he should think more positively too. Amir has some studying to do, and suggests you get back to work.

Amir tells you this has been going on for awhile, and asks if there's anything you can do.

Amir appreciates your help. Stuart begins pestering Amir with questions again, but you step in and scold all of them. Your mean looks scare Daisy and Stuart though, and they stop asking questions. Ethel thinks you're right; they are being too nosey. Besides, a man is more attractive if he has some mystery to him. Amir thanks you for standing up for him.

When he was younger, his father always made him study so he never got the chance to play with his sister. He believes his lack of quality time with her may of resulted in her being mad at her. Amir figures his sister probably doesn't like him very much at all!

You are walking down the path when you hear Amir calling for you. You go over to visit and he tells you that he wrote his sister a letter. He even got a letter back from her!

Amir had wrote that he was sorry that he wasn't around, but she replied that she wasn't mad and she understood the situation he was in. Amir feels a lot better, and is glad he took the time to write her the letter. His sister also mentioned she wanted to see him again.

Amir thought that you liked having him here in Zephyr Town. He can see his sister without having to move back home, you know. Amir walks back to the hotel, alone.

Amir tells you not to worry, as he doesn't plan on going back until fall season. He asks if you are going to miss him while he's gone, since he's noticed you appear to have developed some feelings towards him. You confirm his hunch, which makes him nervous.

• Angelo

The artist of Zephyr Town, Angelo is often commissioned by Felix to paint portraits of the glorious mayor for his house. The artist spends a lot of time either inside of his workshop in the hotel area, or outside looking at nature for inspiration. Angelo's house is situated on the banks of the stream that runs through town, so he gets to listen to the sounds of the water while he works on his sculptures and paintings.

Notes: Since Angelo doesn't have any family in Zephyr Town, there aren't any extra people you need to befriend before you can propose marriage. Kevin is involved with Angelo's Blue Heart event, but you only need 5000 FP with the little boy in order to trigger the event.

If you marry Angelo he will move into your house, but he will still go to his workshop on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Kevin arrives to play and after noticing the large statue, assumes it is something he can climb on for fun! Angelo panics and tells Kevin not to touch the statue, but his warning is ignored by the little boy.

You catch up to him by the bridge. Dirk is hurt that Ivan didn't trust him, but even more so because Ivan's accusations were correct. The only thing he could think to do was to run away. Dirk wants to try and grow up a little, and apologizes for you having to see all of that.

The older brother of Dirk, Ivan has studied to be a school tutor. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday he will leave to go to the city to teach the students there, and then returns at night. He also tutors Cindy and Lauren on Fridays, but doesn't do anything with Kevin.

A former world traveler, Lloyd has settled down by himself near the waterfall south of your farm. His house is cluttered with various items he has picked up through his journeys. Some of the ores and gems he has found go for sale during the weekly bazaar.

Notes: Before you can marry Lloyd, you need to raise your friendship with Felix and Sherry to 30,000 (4 hearts) or more. Felix and Lloyd spend some time together because Felix likes to listen to the stories that Lloyd tells him about what he's seen around the world, so it is important to become friends with the mayor and his daughter.

Remember how friendship points work. Heart #4 appears when you have reached 26,212 FP. You need 30,000 FP for marriage. Just because you have 4 hearts doesn't mean you have reached the required 30,000 FP with the family members yet.

Even after you marry Lloyd, he will set up his booth at the weekly bazaar. You don't get any sales discounts on his merchandise and he doesn't bring home any profit.

The path to Emiko's water shrine can not be unlocked until you've reached your second year in the game. Leave your farm area on a non-rainy day between 9:00 pm and 2:00 am and you'll discover something unusual with the waterfall by Lloyd's house. As you investigate the waterfall, you will observe a path leading through it. As you go down the path, you'll meet Emiko for the first time.

After the two women leave, Ethel and Stuart spot the two of you in the plaza. Ethel thought she had seen Sherry from a distance, so they came closer to confirm it. Stuart is always impressed by his wife's sharp eyesight. Ethel thanks Sherry for the note she passed along to them the other day. Stuart also gives Sherry a friendlier-than-necessary thank you complement, which annoys his wife enough for her to chase after him.

Sherry's not sure what is wrong. She was busy cleaning when her father suddenly started apologizing to her. Felix explains that his wife died shortly after his daughter was born, so he has been raising her by himself. He isn't very good at household chores and feels terrible that she spends so much time doing them. Felix feels guilty for not giving her enough free time to be normal.

Sherry explains to her father that she doesn't mind the chores at all. Besides, when she gets married she'll have to do her share of the chores anyway. The talk of marriage gets Felix in an overprotective mood, and he begins to demand who she plans on marrying. It was just an example Sherry was talking about, and asks you for confirmation. Now Felix thinks that somehow you're involved in his daughter's marriage fantasy! Sherry tells you to quickly run away before her father catches you.
